Traditionally, home building and interior design are two different disciplines that don’t always overlap. LM Design + Build tightly integrates these disciplines. At LMD+B, design always informs build.
LM Design + Build works on new construction and renovations throughout Saratoga and Albany Counties, Lake George, Vermont, Manhattan and Connecticut.
Design
Leah Margolis Nathan
A graduate of Skidmore College, Leah moved to New York City after graduation, where she pursued her passion of interior design. As a Junior Designer at Amanda Nisbet Design, Inc., she was engulfed in all aspects of the design business, managing jobs in Manhattan, Westchester and the Hamptons and styling for photo shoots featured in House Beautiful, O at Home, House and Garden and more. Additionally she was highly involved in the development process of Amanda's fabric and lighting lines. She left Amanda in 2008 to take a position as a senior designer for Rod Winterrowd, Inc. where she worked on projects in Manhattan's famed 15 Central Park West and 740 Park Avenue, as well as homes in Dallas and in Palm Beach.
Upon returning to the Saratoga Springs area in 2009, she launched Leah Margolis Design LLC, a residential interior design firm that focuses on both form and function. After well over a decade of work in the industry, her portfolio now includes projects up and down the east coast.
Build
Ben Nathan
After graduating from Skidmore College with a degree in business, Ben started his construction career in New York City as a Project Manager at LMA Group. While there, he worked on luxury, residential projects throughout Manhattan and northern New Jersey. In 2006, he took on a project management position at The I Grace Company, where he oversaw numerous townhouse renovations, including homes designed by famed architects Santiago Calatrava and Peter Marino.
In 2009, Ben was hired by Witt Construction to take on the project management role of their residential building division. After being promoted to production manager, he was responsible for overseeing all company-wide construction activities from start to finish.
Throughout his time at Witt, Ben oversaw completion of their multiple award winning Parade and Showcase of Homes entries, along with nearly one hundred custom homes in Albany and Saratoga Counties, Vermont and the Lake George and Adirondack regions.
After 12 years at Witt Construction, in spring of 2021, LM Design + Build was born.
